'59 caddy

I wish I could get the quarter panels off that old '59 Caddy. I'd use the front of my '29 Model A melded to the '59 Caddy quarters and have THE RAT BATMOBILE. Any idea what I could get those quarter panels and deck lid for $$$ ? Now I got something else to keep me awake all night , dreaming of cruising in the RAT BATMOBILE, God ,I feel so tortured.

It's a rip off business is what it is, the owner of the yard pays 5 cents per pound or 80 dollars a ton but he sells it for 30 cents a pound on iron or 320 a ton and normally thats what I have to pay, but there r times what the boss don't know wont get me run off LOL... I have the only CDL in the yard, I'm the only one with the electrical back ground "computer electronics" so he "THE OWNER" really doesn't want to upset me he knows, I'll walk on him in a heartbeat....

$$$

Gotta remember , your boss is just trying to eack out a living to, I've hauled scrap with my dad since I was 9 when I moved in with him , and wish I had half the cars he sent to the crusher, I drive by our local recycling yar on my days off to see what came in , but my buddy that works there usually gets most of the good stuff , 2 months ago he got a complete '72 Triumph motoercycle, turns over, no spark, he called me up, I went over showed him how to wire it with a Zenor diode, replaced the coil, , he's running it thru the woods now. He also found a brand new , never installed Girder springer front end in the box in the back of a truck that came in , it's amazing what he finds there, my son wants to get a job there, but he's only 15 1/2. I think my son would try bringing home anything he thought had any value. That's why I don't work at a recycling yard.

He is being a jerk on the caddy, another person out of here asked, so I asked and he said he wanted 12 hundred but I bet 9 bills could get it..

At work us yard guys say the older it is, the heavier it is and those old boats are heavy...

I'll say it again if there is any of the small stuff u guys see let me know it's ur's knobs emblems handels if u see a picture of that car and that item is there "SMALL STUFF" I'll send it to you .... u repay me shipping

small stuff

I wish I had the time and money, work slowed down again cutting out OT, even at 1200 for the caddy , you couldn't touch anything around here for that, this is the rust belt here, people mistake that rust for gold, kinda makes ya wanna slap 'em back to reality, [ddd

thanks

Hey Gus, Just wanted to say thanks for taking the time to post the pics of all the goodies passing your way, now my wifes gonna be mad about me droolin' on the keyboard again, she thinks I'm droolin over porn !!! She just wouldn't understand.

That is a racket. The cost up here runs $225-$325 / ton for the steel and iron. Thats what I get bringing it into the yard. I will stack stuff up and when it hits over $275 I will make a bunch of runs. I want to make at least $250/pick up truck bed full per run profit [cl

Here r two more SAVES [cl . actually one was just picked up today and is heading to southern Arizona same guy takes all of this stuff..
