Perhaps a swap meet? I stiil need a few pieces anyway, maybe there will even be a killer deal on a corvair steering box?...;)

speaking of corvair steering boxes... I went to my local junk yard and looked at all the steering boxes. Some were backwards for cowl steering but some were correct. I found a 56 ford for $350 (ouch) and 2 others very similar for $100. Pitman arm included.

well, the car show did the trick, I'm motivated once again, just need to figure out that steering box issue, and I'm about there...:D

i'm like bonehead and some others. i keep more than one project going. some get sold before i finish them, some get finished, but i never lack for something to tinker on. today i did some on my 37 packard build. i'll post more progress pics soon. i also contemplated putting a 51 ford front clip on my 5 window s-10 contraption. i too, like just about all of us, slow down when i get myfundsarelow disease. but the projects wait diligently for me. theyre as faithful as my dogs. ive never been a car show enthusiast. i find them boring and car show people can be even more boring. and the judging can be so full of politics its worse than government. but if it motivates you, do it. ben (440shorty) helps motivate me too sometimes, as do other friends. i guess you gotta find it in your own way. ive been tinkering on cars and trucks for well over 40 years and not lost interest yet, so i guess i never will.
