One of my upcoming projects on the money pit is to peak the hood. Figured on using round bar tack welded w/ Mig, then smooth in to hood contour with either lead or a low temp solder. Question is which would be best, most durable and easiest not to screw up.

I have never worked lead, so I don't know where to even buy the stuff. I was thinking of using flux and low temp solder from Muggy Weld, but again, not sure best way to go.

Any suggestions from the experts?

lead

check out eastwoods lead-less body solder kit, it goes on just like the ol lead, you tin the metal first, then applie the body solder it was easy to do and work down. dp1
