Pitman Arm length

Considering making my own pitman arm but need to know how to determine its length? What do I need to consider? Any direction would help.

I'd work backwards. Turn the wheels back and forth by hand while pointing the drag link at the steering gear. From that point you'll be able to see how long the pitman arm needs to be.

Same length as your steering arm.

Old Iron - Roadster modified or RPU. I'll have the option when the time comes.

OffRoadRolls - I'll give it try.

Dr Cranks - I was thinking the same thing but thought there might be more to it. Sometimes I think I'm reinventing the wheel.
