Thanks for keeping us posted. Yours is one of my favorite builds.

Thanks Bob, that means a lot coming from you, I have seen your work and its top notch.
Well I decided to take some time off work and try to complete my frame. I am pretty lucky to have a friend who knows how to paint since I know nothing about it. I finished all the welding then it came for the prep work....he basically had me sand every piece to be painted......I HATE SANDING!......
I think it came out pretty good.....

Well the paints dry and the weather is good so I started putting it back together. This is the first time I have ever had something painted so I am taking great care not to damage the paint. Once its back together I will start finishing the body as my partner dose the motor.

Really looking good now.....keep the pic's coming please!

Thanks, I hope to get some work on the body done so I can set it back on the frame.
My next thing I have to start thinking about is my rim and tire combination, either old school wires or the new boss 338 wheels ....20,s on back 18,s on front.

Well I am back at it again, I have been putting off my windshield posts long enough. Today I tried to make my own posts and window channel without making it look like crap. This is what I came up with, not sure if I am not going tom just cut it off and try again.

It looks really good. It might help to put a little radius on the outside vertical welded joints of the lower stanchions.

Similarly, a small radius where the cowl connects to the firewall would give it a more finished look.

I hope to build a scratch built body some day. I hope it comes out as nice as yours.

Thanks guys for the compliments. Bob you nailed it!!!! I was thinking the same thing, but sometimes you just have to go with it and see how it turns out. Like you said the edge is way to sharp and dose not match any other body line. I plan to cut the corner about 3/8 of an inch off the leading edge
and weld a piece of 1/4 inch solid round bar to give it a smoother look. That should do it.....

window frame

Well I finally got around to fixing the windshield frame and rounded the corners for a better look.....I am going to have to finish the rest in my garage instead of my buddies shop.....should be pretty interesting having the wife park her car outside.....lol
