Satin Black Choice

I am thinking about painting areas (hood scoop, rocker panel, etc) of my ride stain black. Since I am not painting the entire car this color, does it really matter which satin black I use, rustoleum, JD BB, etc?

Is JD BB really that much better than other name brands of satin black - especially in isolated areas?

I've used spray bombs of grill (charcoal grill) paint, figuring it was meant to withstand being outside. Seems to work so far.

That's a good idea.

I have used that in the engine compartment, but since it is not fuel resistant, it got messed up when my carb leaked!

I've had the rustoleum semi-gloss outdoors for a couple years now and it is holding up great. Use a decent primer under whatever paint you use and you'll be fine.
