Starting 1st Rat Rod Project in Maryland

I am in the beginning stages of building a Rat Rod in Maryland. I am still looking for the basic platform to use and, more importantly, the truck cab. There seem to be few old trucks available within a drivable distance of me. Must be the midatlantic weather.

I'd appreciate any tips or suggestions for yards or places with potential parts or trucks.

Welcome David...most of the junk yards in your area have been forced to chrush all the old cars. But there is a guy in Watsontown Pa, not far from Baltimore, that runs ads in "The Roundup" old car magazine. Mite check him out.

What year are you looking for? I just saw 3 pick up cabs sitting at a car lot in Greencastle, Pa this morning. Maybe the 1940's to 50's range.

I prefer a 40's truck cab but I am inventive enough to make a 50's cab work. Any info on how to find the trucks you are talking about?
