I'm an Environmental Scientist for the DOE. I manage and dispose hazardous, toxic, and radiological waste.

I've kind of changed directions but still work for Environmental Management for the DOE. Don't work with nasties anymore had enough of that after 6 years. Now I get rid of unneeded materials and chemicals. Anybody need a F-4 jet engine or some WWII 16" battleship guns?

Hey Guys,

Well, sit back and I'll tell you what I used to do, and what I currently do. I was a licensed Funeral Director / Embalmer for 17 years until 2000. Then I went back to College in 2002, and earned my bachelors degree in anthropology/archaeology in 2006. Currently, I'm a project manager for a firm that specializes in historic (very old - mostly pre-1900) cemetery restorations. We clean and restore old headstones and monuments. Yes, there's actually a market for it and I really enjoy it. It's a really interesting job! Unfortunately with winter coming on I might be laid off for the winter soon.

I hate work. I've been making a living off my Hobby for 43 years. I have worked in Body Shops and Dealerships around the country, but only until I got bored with the company and the neighborhood. Of the 43 years, I've been self employed 3 times for 28 years. Painting is my specialty, but I can fully restore or build from the ground up. Hammer & Dolly, pick & file, metal finish, and leaded joints was how I learnt. Now it's mostly, open the box, hope it's the right parts, screw 'em on and paint it. Don't lean on it or sit on it. I still love my hobby. It still pays the bills. Still got the same girlfriend too, 40 years last Thursday.

I mow yards, landscaping, body work, welding, mechanical work, light remodeling/home repair... For the most part its just mowing/landscaping or whatever type of job I'm employed at at the time and do the other stuff on the side to supplement my crappy paychecks... It breaks the norm and gets rid of the monotony... I'd like to think I'm a Doug of all trades... (har har)

Job

I'm a piano player in a brothel. LOL No Im retired from Civil Service at Tinker AFB. I worked on the F-15s and 16s ,before that I was a crew chief on a F-4 in Vietnam 1966. Happy Veteran's day to all the vets.

Mad dog, where were you and what were you doing in Spring of 72? I was working in the SFV then and wouldn't it be crazy if I bumped into you? I worked in a Kustom shop called Korky's on Roscoe across from the airport.

Thats my neighborhood!! I was in northern California in 72 experimenting with drugs:eek:. I moved here 10 years ago. I have heard of Korkeys, ya know, the old guys talking about the good ol days. I drive past that location about 3 times a week.

So, nope, we didnt meet. Would have been pretty cool if we had.

I am a mechanic. I work at a family owned shop and work on anything from 40 Fords to new Hondas. Been doing it since I was about 12 hanging around my dads shop and helping my dad,my brother and my uncle and learning about it. I know I dont care anything for late model car/trucks. Too much plastic for me. Kinda the reason I built mine with out ANY eletronics on it,not even a raidio.
