our dogs

When we got married the first dog was named B'ser (I liked old english iron)
Second was a Rotweiler/King Shepherd cross named Tristan (this dog was huge, taller than our table and 120lbs.
Third one was Raider, a sweet yellow lab, but alas didn't live very long.
Fourth was another yellow lab named Gryphon (U of G mascot)
Fifth is Dakota our first female Shepherd, quite a character.

We have a13 year old cocker named zuece and a 16 year old chiwawa yorkie mix named cheech. About all they do anymore is sleep eat and s**t. Haha

Shelby (13yr. old pomeranian )
Ginger (4yr. old pomeranian)
Lulu. (2+yr. old terrier / chiwawa mix)

The name Shelby was absolutely my doing...

...My kids got to name the other 2.

Here is mine European Boxer. This is the 4th boxer we owned. Her name is OBE....stands for "One Brown Ear" She's 1 1/2 in this photo from this summer. She loves the sprinkler and can catch a frisbee. She is not blind or deaf. Most whites usually have problems.

Cash the brindle boxer is 13 she was a pup from Gizmo her mom that was a fawn that is gone now.
We had 2 litters with Gizmo and kept this one. Cash loves a ball and still like to play fetch. But can only do it about 5 times and then she is winded. The old girl has been a great dog.

Lungs

I've had a lot of great dogs over the years. I compete with them, in various venues. This is my current dog is a Louisiana Catahoula Leopard, my 3rd in 20+ years, Ch. Tasso's 'Cool Hand Luke" CA. We call him ~ Travis. This was taken while Lure Coursing.

Today @ 5yo

Here's Sam (black) and Lily performing syncronized indecent exposure. They're French Wolf Hounds. Okay, they're Standard Poodles. Half brother and sister. Their dad slept around.

Beautiful dog, Ironrat. I love all the dogs pictured in this thread. I even like Don's cats.

bob w - Thanks he's a lot of fun.

I have to tell you how impressed I am with your dogs. I train for completion and I don't think I could teach that "syncronized indecent exposure" trick. :D

Standard poodles don't get enough credit for how smart they are.

Got a 1 year old mini yorkie named gus and his 14 year old body gaurd chopper. Chopper is a old bitter grumpy ol man half english bulldog half pit. Chop is a awesome dude he will sit in the same spot watching u work on the ol hotrod and never complain and aggrees with every decision I make.

My dog's name is Ruger. He was named before I got him.

The funny part came when I went shooting pistols with a buddy of mine. He let me shoot his Ruger, to which I said, "I just shot my dog." It took some explaining.

My Girl

Sweetpea is my best friend. She does it all

Here's mine:

Layla, or Lu Lu, she was given to us by a friend of ours because she was so hyper and destructive {still is!}. We were told she was a "ladies dog", because she wouldn't have anything to do with men. When the wife brought her home and set her down on the floor, she ran straight into the bedroom to where I was sitting at the computer and jumped into my lap! Ladies dog my hind leg! From then on, she has been my dog. She rode in the truck with me for two years until I started doing short hauls all the time.

Here's Sassy, another Boston Terrier. Wife bought here when she was 8 weeks old. She's about a year older than Layla, but has just as much energy. She shares time with me and wife depending on how she feels that day.

Here's Rip, a rat terrier, also known as "the old woman". Give to the wife by a friend of ours who had bought her for his daughter, then she moved out and left her with him. She is about 11 years old, but still as spry as she was when she was a year old. She keeps the Boston's straight!

Then there is Lil' Bit, a rat terrier mix, that was given to the wife by our late son to replace a Boston that we had to have put to sleep. She is camera shy, hard to get a pic of, I'll have to look harder and see if I can find one of her. She is the watchdog, nothing moves in the yard that she doesn't know about and sound the alarm, which gets the other girls going!

Another rescue we may pick up, the sister to Casey, but she is SUPER SUPER shy... I thought he was shy, she is really in a shell and will need a lot of love to get her sociable!
