Awesome shop OI, wish I had a hoist. I tried LED lights in the house and our power grid is so dirty they blink constantly causing a headache. They do give a great light though.

Don't give up, it's far too much fun once you can drive it.

Great looking shop indeed OI.
I wouldn't know how to act in a shop that well equipped.
We should call this the "Do you suffer from shop envy" Thread.....
And if Smallfoots is a cellar. Mine is truly a cave. Or perhaps more like a mine shaft.

I'll give you a garage tour of my place. Not a real shop, just a fairly big garage. The walls are 1 foot thick Styrofoam with a concrete and rebar core. It is pretty warm in the winter.

The left door opens to a short space, just big enough to park the Renault.
The middle is kept open for Mama to park her minivan. Although sometimes it get invaded with work but is soon restored to a parking space.
The middle and right doors open to an extra deep space. I can build a car crossways in the back.
Against the left wall is a drill press and belt sander.
Along the back wall is a welding table with a 5/8" thick steel top. And next to it is a bench grinder. I bought the vice 57 years ago.
To the left is a long cabinet which is supposed to be a workbench but just holds things inside and on top.
The wooden doors hide mainly short pieces of steel sorted by size and shape. Underneath is where the long steel is kept. A compressor is surrounded by about a dozen small block Chevy blocks and assorted engine parts. A Lincoln MIG welder and a oxy-acetylene torch are in the far corner under an overhead furnace.
There is a pull down ladder that accesses an attic. You wouldn't feel safe underneath if you knew how much tonnage is up there.
Nothing too fancy because I don't do complicated fabrication. However, I feel very fortunate to have this set up.

Default Shop

I started working on cars outside. Then got a 1920's Model A garage with dirt floors, leaking roof. Was thrilled to have it. My shop is 60 years old, started out as a farm tractor shed. Best part is the privacy. Noise is no problem. Will need a roof soon.
