I need some pics of a rat rod with a straight axle and air bags and shocks. Can anyone help me out?

Here's one I did - 41 Chev pickup axle - tried to hide the bags as much as possible by enclosing them in the frame.

Here is my whole problem,,,,,,,The person that built it put 2x4 tube steel right over the straight axle and in front of the grill. I'll post other pics later. Air bags are on top of the axle and under the 2x4. It's also way too high and hiding the great grill. I'm just puzzled what to do.

I would say you have some major reconstruction to do... the whole front of your frame is very wide....

I would really like to run the air bags and shocks but sorta leaning towards just the shocks cause these bags are gonna be a pain.

You mean run a standard spring and shocks??? or just add shocks to your current set up and drive it?

Another airbag question

So if you are running airbags up front, with radius rods, what are you guys using for a lateral link to keep the axle from left-right movement? The transverse leaf would normally provide that lateral link.

Just curious, because as I plan more of the build I am on, I've been contemplating bagging it at all four corners.

This car was built by Grease Monkey Garage in Florida. I really like the way they did the airbag set up on this with the bags mounted to links behind the axle to the "bones"

And what a fine job you did.
