Stock-ish is probably lowered 4-6" from stock.

Full blown streetrod stance would be 6-10 inches lower than that.

Stock height is way up there.

Got it. Does anything you have right now sit at either of those stances? If not, you could always run wit something you've never had (or don't currently have). That's why I'm building my '30 kind of high. Never had one like that.

My stock F250 sits up there. Everything else is lowered.

Something like this would sure be a whole lot easier.

... All the other cool rides are low+ easier + life is short, just might equal do it like the last pics.? Treating yourself with a much easier build when it's the truck you got still lets you hold your head high! Anyone who loves those type trucks (of which I am one) would freaking love it. IF you chose that path, and finished it up fairly quick, you could maybe do another one and drag frame with it.

Or you could just flip a coin and not look back...

Low profile big truck tire 255/70r22.5 "aired out"...resting on the fender. It's about 4.5" off of the ground.



Aired up two 2x4 blocks. 7.5" here. Actual ride height around 10"?

This looks "lowered", but it definitely is not "low".

If I use these tires and build to a sensible ride height, lfe will be so much easier. Two 2x4 ride height has top of the frame at 24". The tire has 4 inches of tire stuffed.




With a ride height that puts the top of the tire at the top of the opening, I don't need any kind of step. At most, I will need a couple inc notch to get the bags to their mid-point at ride height.



No Fear of engine not fitting under the hood. I might have a small trans tunnel, but not the whole trans in the cab.

10 inches of ground clearance might not sound cool,but it sure looks like it will work better.

The tire/wheel stance in the front fender looks great. I think there's a thumbs up mind thing going on there because of it.

10" ground clearance is now officially considered very cool for that year truck. Rock on!

On that big of a truck, having 1/2 the tire above the wheel covered by the fender will sure look low to the average Joe, and he is going to think it looks cool.

I have 10" of frame clearance (6" of sheet metal clearance) on my 49, but with the front tires just under the fender lip, most people think its really low.

Looking cool and functioning at the same time are a great combination to me. I approve too.

10” of clearance on that size truck plus a little longer wheel bade than most hot rods. It will look just fine

I decided to go ahead and mig it. I figured out a bad insulator in my nozzle was what was causing my issue. With a new nozzle, I can turn the welder all the way up.

I now have two bases that will be shock mounts, sway bar mounts, bag mounts, and four link mounts.

Can shows size of my 4 link tabs.

Looks like frame mounts are gonna be fun. Outboard of frame rails and lower mount way below.

I think I got the front frame mount mostly figured out. I was going to have it centered on the mounting plate, now I think it needs to be offset so I can gusset the heck out of it.
