Depends on the size of the parts. I'm using muratic acid and loving it. Really cleans, and in a short time. Every body says use it 40-1. I am using it straight. Works for me.

Not running buick drums on this. I am building a model a speedster, and the belly buttton seems to run the 17'' all the way around. I wanted the 16'' on the rear for a more massive look. A HAMB member makes the spacers for the wire to hyd drum. Thanks for your help.

What do the 1.25 spacers do? How did you find them on e bay, I have looked?

I have built many with the early 351 head, but the head to use now is the gt 40 head. Not the p head,just gt 40 .There is a real seat of the pants feel over the early heads to this set up.Plus you get hard seats right off.Ford heads have their own centering devices on the lower bolts at each end...

Getting ready for my alt. What would be the minimum size needed to keep the battery charged ? This is a basic roadster with no frills, gauges, lights ,starter. No radio,or heater.

The 39 pontiac drop out center section will fit into a 50 olds r/e. I used that in one of my cars. That being said a 56 would be the same drop out, or pumpkin. 57 was the change yr for both pontiac and olds.
