Getting ready for my alt. What would be the minimum size needed to keep the battery charged ? This is a basic roadster with no frills, gauges, lights ,starter. No radio,or heater.

30 to 40amp alternator would work....
More than run all you've got and keep the battery up without a hitch...heck most old GM's only had 30amp in the late 60"s....

37 amp alternator is the smallest, GM.
My '46 RR uses a 35 amp generator.

Your are correct.....I was kinda speaking in general
terms about the "30"amp....but absolutely you are correct about the 37amp 10si being the smallest....
37 amp alternator is the smallest, GM.
