yep Yes will bolt right in... no mods, no problems. You'll have to use the 49 tranny and bell housing because of the torque tube set-up in the 49.

307 307's are great engines for torque and reliability. I have one in my 60 biscayne w/ a 700r4. Gets great gas mileage. I put an RV torque cam, intake and quadrajet w/duals on her and runs nice and strong for the steet.:)

Yup, my SBC/2004r combo w/2:42 gears is about the same as my 4cyl ranger. I average 18-20 mpg not hammering on it.:p

39 She has a 350SBC 4-bolt/2004r combo. 57 Olds rear. Really not gonna do a whole lot to the body except flat black paint.Getting ready to fab up some side pipes soon.

4:56 gears I was happy to get rid of the 456 rear end thought could pull down a house but could never get away from the scene of the crime. The 700r4 in mine helps tone down the revs at least ;)
