ooooo i can finally play here. Just picked this up a couple of weeks ago. Needs a little TLC but nothing major. The engine casing is showing to be a 73 Super Beetle 1600cc. I cant find the engine code anywhere to confirm this. All i know is the casing is an AS casing.

Bonehead, you are actually one that i would figure had ink. While getting a tat, its not painful, at least not to me. I have had one yet that hurts during the process. Its the next day that hurts. Feels like a really really bad sun burn, but its the aftermath that i like.

There is something out there called plastidip, its a spray on paint, but when you get tired of it you can peel it off. Not sure how well it would keep rust away, but its worth looking into.
