I haven’t looks like j got some reading to do thanks! I like the simplicity and i had too end work done by a solid friend and have it running like a top. Just need a need battery tray and some more time. Honestly the v8 of course crossed my mind but I’ve got a running driving truck. I don’t...

Good to know thank you. I visited a junkyard today that was full of e250s and older fords so I’ve got a few plans now.

That’s all good info. I grew up with Armstrong steering in 70s f250s but this truck I feel like treating myself. I found info on Volvo electric pumps and swap in coyote swapped f100s. It may be my best option. Still need some more research but I hope I have a answer

Totally I’ve got some more stuff lined up now with using the lining on my bed (let me explain it’s all 3/16 plate steel over the rotting remains of the old bed) to fab up my step notch. I have been stuck though at my front end CV swap again… it’s a PS rack and pinyon setup. My truck is an...

I’m going with the CV for the front I need to secure some funds. Work and babies are in the way of my truck for now. I plan on step notching the rear and bagging the entire truck to eat pavement. It’ll be fun. Just a long drawn out build

That’d be awesome. I’m tried of conflicting google info. What wheels are you planning on running? I’ve been looking around Craigslist for wheels off a mustang or anything. I also realized a lot of imports have 5x114.3 ( the metric equivalent of 5x4.5) I just have to figure out how much offset...

Finally got the bumper off. I like the look but now I’ve got to start my search for a correct one to replace it. Started my research into swapping in the CV rear end. It seems like the info is conflicting weather or not it works well or not. So I’m going to go for it and adjust after. Thanks a...

Thank you so much. Yeah you went and filled my head with all sorts of possibilities to really get the truck down in the weeds. Airbags would be fun and a huge step notch…. Hmm

Well good question I guess for ease of installation to stay with leaves but really thinking more about it yeah why not… the explorer does have discs and more aggressive gears but for ease and i already own a CV And I’ve been reading about airbags and it would make that much easier. Hmmm you...

You’re reading my mind. That back bumper kills me. It looks so dumb and isn’t even the right size. I’ve been soaking the bolts with ATF & gas mix to make removing them easier. Hopefully they are ready soon.

Definitely will be watching those springs. It’s not the best way but will have to do until I get a drop axle or feel froggy enough to take in a CV swap. The swap is definitely not off the table. On hold for the time being. I traded my brother beer and a California burrito for a 2008 P71 cop...

That’s cool I have some ideas and available pieces for a crown Victoria front end and a v8 swap but for now it’s where I want and well with in my budget. Gorgeous truck though very impressive looking

Stance. 27” front wheel well to ground 25” rear wheel well to ground Good suspension travel all around. About as comfortable as I am going low for now. Total cost $70 for axle flip kit and 10 hours labor. Happy for now. Now motor work to make it run well enough for a daily driver and...

Thank you. For pretty minimal effort I think I nailed the whole thing. Now will be going through and retightening and double checking the bolts. And then I’ll start in on bumpers. I’m not sure about going “nude” or changing to a different look. We will see.

Those are all great questions and I can be more clear. The “rear axle flip” in the way I meant is taking the axle from below the leaf springs and placing above the leaf springs for a drop of 5-6” I got 6 total The hanger flip was my first choice to lower the truck without having spend any...
