That was on June 2nd and June 9th I had a refund in full posted back into my credit card account for the transmission.

I don't know what he told those people but he got quick results.

HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY!!!!!!

Good to hear! [cl [cl [cl

I have an "uncle lawyer". We don't get along very well, but he's fixed a few issues for me over the years.

"I don't know what he told those people but he got quick results." For sure! :D

.

I just seen where you got our refund for the tranny [cl
I bet it was a nice straight to the point one way conversation [ddd:cool:

Thanks fellow fanatics.
My wife was ready to go cut the guys throat over the transmission deal.
Glad that's behind us.

WE decided we would use the Dakota transmission. If it doesn't last I'll swap it out later.

If we can ever get all this body work done things should start going a little faster. It takes me a long time cause I have no idea what I'm doing. Just keep beating on it till I can't get it any better then call it good I guess.

Got started on the drivers side today. Not as bad as the other side.

Enjoying following along. Glad to see you got the refund. [cl

Thanks. The whole thing was a pain in the rear. Glad it's over.

its not what you know its who you know! [cl[cl[cl

My nephew has turned into a no BS lawyer that has done really well. Not many lawyers out there that can make that claim. Most of them are all BS.

Progress.......

Got the right bed side almost done. Still need to put the fender brace rods on, finish a little more welding on the spare tire mount stiffening plate. It doesn't move any more when you try to shake the spare when mounted. Then fix one more hole in the bed side.

Then it's time to tackle the sad looking tailgate.

I gotta say that looks super great![cl[cl

Thanks. Slow going. Since my hip replacement 4 or 5 hrs a day is all I can manage. It sucks to get old and worn out.

Nice, didn't know that three lugs of the 5 on 5 pattern would fit the 6 lug wheel pattern.
Just noticed the bed looks like a GM bed with exceptions of the stake pocket over the fenders

Someone should proof read what I type. Or in this case what I didn't type.
I meant to say the Willys was 5 on 5 spacing and I modified the carrier to fit the Dakota rims which are 6 on 4 1/2 spacing. Fits perfectly.

Well I'll be, it sure looked larger in the earlier pic....

See above. I must have been in one of my mental fogs yesterday..

Not much progress today. I did manage to get the rear fender braces on. Stiffened things up a bunch. On to the tailgate next.

More beating on it......

A little drilling. A little cutting. A little head scratching.
A whole lot of beating the dents out of it. A little welding.
A little screwing. And this is what we have when it got too hot to continue.
Tomorrow's a new day.
