The much maligned trailer house tires. Yesterday Likes 2 Tinker and I were standing by a pile at auction and I made some offhand comment about the total usless nature of such for trailers when some guy I had never saw before jumped on me, basically called me a liar and came to the defense of the lowely 14.5 like I had kicked his dog. I did retaliate briefly then remembered the advice "Never argue with an idiot, bystanders may not be able to tell the difference"
We had a good laugh about it later.

Trailer house tires get a bad rap. The old cast iron centered wheels have a good bearing in them, but the old tires were junk. It got worse when manufacturers went to the "500 mile" tire. I have had great luck with a trailer I have had for the last 25 years, but the key is to get those cheap tires off and go with a good, heavy ply, lowboy tire. The other problem is those weird square washers between the nuts and the rims. You just have to pay attention to how they are put on, and seat the rim to the wheel evenly all the way around.
No doubt there are better axles out there.

Trailor tires have feelings too and as you see a plainclothes chivalrous knight
blending in with the gen pub can spring forth at any time to defend their
honor. While your comments to L2T were not any of that guys business surely
you will be more sensitive in the future.:D That is a funny story WB3

yes ya think the storie was funny you should have been there i thought the guy just might have of reach out and slapped willobilly when he made the comment about the trailer tires
