What a cool project. I am amused and enjoy your creativity.

That is the sickest thing I have seen in a long time! I love it!!![cl[cl

Thanks! I started up the crate motor for the first time today (video below), unfortunately, the pre-installed thermostat never opened. I had it running in the doorway of the garage with a 4 ft fan blowing across the front and it got up 240 degrees so I shut it down. The radiator was still cool enough to touch with my bare hand. Swapped the thermostat out for a Milodon 160 degree unit and it runs 180-190 if I just leave it running. Multiple start ups brought it up to 210, so I am installing two large ford van heater cores under the bed for a little extra cooling.

There was 2 of them at a local parts supplier(junk yard) a few years back. And my dad and I thought about getting them. Both for $100. Shoulda dun it now that I see yours.....

It might look like a sleeper but when you crank it I think the cat is out of the bag. That thing sounds awesome.

Thanks! I have been driving it quite a bit and am finding that people hear the truck coming, but then dismiss the vehicle as it approaches, while they continue to look for the source of the sound. If there are any other vehicles around, I have to get right up on them before they put the truck and the sound together!

There are a couple of videos that I have not posted here yet.

Somehow I got it in my mind that I was leaving too much acceleration on the table. The playlist below details the addition of a transmission and a tilt cab. It is still in process and will have a tilting Service Bed when its done.
