Decided to move this off my welding thread and give it a life of it’s own. Not going to bore you guys with a bunch of dent removal, just the meat a potatoes on this one. My end for now is smooth out the tin, build the interior frame work and a chop. We will see how it progresses. Spent a couple days gutting and hammering. Got it set back on the frame to start the interior frame work, there are a couple mounting hole that I could drop a bolt through to hold the cowl square with the frame. My saving grace on this is it came with the rocker in good shape so I don’t have to guess what the body shape should be. Yesterday I took a couple hours and cut up some 16ga to make some door post. Got the driver side door set back in and clamped up.

The only for sure thing I know about the car is the interior will get a full finish and a ground up frame. But other then that I'm in the dark.

Looks like an awesome bod to start with, I'll be watching this one. BTW, looks like you have plenty of other projects going simultaneously, obviously living the dream... [cl[cl

Thank ZZ, but right now it more like living a nightmare. I have to keep putting stuff on the back burner for OPP. This one has me as nervous as a cat on a hot tin roof. It is one thing if I mess up my own stuff, but someone elses stuff (pressures on).

Set the old floor pan in, I think I have a winner. All the back glass is going to be fixed, but all the trim will be going back in. And a couple pics for a fellow member that wanted some measurements and how it sets on the frame

Thanks guys.

DR is that 5k field find. If this was mine I would part with it for 5K with the chop and inner frame completed and still feel good about life.

got the other door frame in and door set in place. even got the back window sills in and welded. had some time to brace it up. Two more pieces in the back half and it is chopping time, Maybe Sunday.

I'm just jealous of you guys where the tin is plentiful and cheap....
I'm guessing something solid like that up here price tag would be in the 2500-3500 price range (asking)... which to me seems steep, but thats how it goes in the rust belt...

Guys don't be jealous, it is getting harder to find and $1500 to $2000 is what people are asking. Plus I had already done a bunch of hammer work on it so it only looks better then it really was.

I found the mystical floating 32 roof. Not too shabby for day 3.

Clamped up and welding away. The revels in the window are just a little different top to bottom, but they didn't turn out to bad. Wish I knew how to lead, this would be a easy fix for lead.

Moving a bit slow, but moving.

Welding things up. The pillar was a pain but some good came of it. There are 3 section that come together in a 6" area and were welded up and covered with lead (and lots of it). I needed to melt it out anyways so I thought why not try to do some lead shaping. Played with it for a while and got to a point where I could push it around real easily and shape it without getting it to hot and running off onto the floor. Thinking about getting a lead kit now.

Thanks guys I try to do my best

Still need to pick up some flapper discs to polish it up, but the top is back on and grinded off. The 1" under the window was a real pain, had to watch out for hitting the body line, then things would get hot and dip in, so I had to crawl in and out a couple dozen times to hammer it out. Luck I have it blocked high enough to crawl in under the wheelwell.
