"NICE!!!
I especially like the header mounting flange. Nice work."

That's what I liked right off the bat about them :)

"love the gauges, their going to look great [cl"

I liked the beige faces with the satin silver rings the best.

I finished tacking up the headers today. Tomorrow I will separate the tubes and tig all of them [;)
I'll be sending them off to have them ceramic coated

Yes sir!!!

Looks really great man....dig the spiral header mufflers...nice work on the fab of the headers by the way....[P

OK, here's the spiral core mufflers I built.
This pic is of the parts used.
I cut the spirals out on the plasma table. 2 7/8" od and 1 1/16" id with a split from center to the outside.
The center tube is 1" od tubing 11" long
Then the header collectors
attachment.php

Welded one rings on both ends of the tubes then centered the middle one and welded it.
I changed the direction of the spirals on the passenger side from the drivers side, just because.
attachment.php

Inserted them into a 6" piece of 3" exhaust tubing and tack welded them in so they don't rattle.

I welded the collectors on the headers and inserted the 5" long section of spirals in the collector.
Welded the muffler to the collector.

I cut 3/16" x 4.5" flanges with six bolt holes on the plasma table so I can bolt the turn outs on the ends of the mufflers.

Oh yea, I finished modifying the aluminum radiator so it's ready to install too :D
I moved the inlet, outlet, filler neck and mounted it to an elbow so it would be out from under the grille surround [;)

Reminds me of a friend who bought a 74 Chevy pickup (new) put dual exhaust on it and in the winter it would actually do that exact thing [S :D
