I thought I had started a build thread on here for our project, but I guess I haven't! I am keeping a blog on the build, so I will just post updated blog posts on here when I post them. I wish you could go reverse chronological on blogger, but I guess it doesn't work that way :p So, if you go to this post (the first) http://36diamondt.blogspot.com/2011/09/project-diamond-t.html - then you can click on 'newer posts' at the bottom of each page (it's under the comments box). That should work to see all of the posts......

then, I'll post new links as I blog them :)

at this point, I think we'd pay that much for decent ones.... is the auction still on?

new post yesterday:

http://36diamondt.blogspot.com/2012/10/blasted.html

anybody have any ideas for fasteners for the rear cab panels (in place of the screw-head bolts). We plan to weld the cab together where it was nailed to a wooden frame along the roof edge and we will need new trim there as well.........don't have a CLUE what we'll use, the old stuff was way too far gone to salvage......

Check out my Diamond t build, got some pics of how I did away with the wood.

yes, I have been following your build :)

The sections I was referring to (about putting new fasteners in) was the two vertical seams on either side of the back window. We took them apart so we could get the rust sandblasted from between those parts (and the molding piece on the inside). Brian doesn't really want to weld those pieces back together, so I guess we are going to use stainless screws/nuts to put them back together (they were originally screws with square nuts on the inside)

On another note - I love the look of the black epoxy primer, it's got a great low-gloss sheen! I wish our metal wasn't so textured, or we'd leave it in the primer!
