I'm with Smallfoot, with seats etc. even you probably won't see it. What ever it is you're seeing.

Don't forget the cup holders!!!!!!!!!

from the inside you can't really tell but looking at the firewall from the outside the bottom of the floor pan where your feet go in the pedals it was crooked

So are you thinking the gas pedal will be "crooked" or in an uncomfortable position when you get the seat installed? Or a floor pan issue?

I'll post some pictures of what I'm going to do tomorrow the floor pan where the gas pedal goes is going to be kind of set in Word in the center of it it's kind of hard to explain you have to see pictures

here is a teaser of the next major crazy project I'm going to try to tackle I gotta cut the seat and half and cut a section out then put it back in

this will be close on the doors thats for sure ,,, I was told the 3rd seat from a minni van works great ,,,, I may look for one of them . I have some bucket seats , but they dont sit just right ,, but thats down the road yet. I made a bench seat out of wood this weekend for my 30 chevy truck .. I got it at an upholstery shop at this min.

So now that I have time to write, So the drivers side floor pan will be like the image, set inside, so I will have maximum movement for the gas and brake pedal, due to the limited space in the cab, my buddy John suggested it, he also said I could do better when he saw the way the floor pan was crooked, so I'm going to be making a small insert frame for the floor pan to give it more strength and rigidity, it will be made out of 1" wide 1/8" thick flat bar and the floor pan will just sit on it and I'll weld it, it will look awesome from both the inside and outside, I'll keep you posted with pictures, should be done with th all that by this Wednesday I'm hoping lol 😂, as for the seat I think I'm going to stick with my plan on cutting it in half and re upholsting it, it already has sentimental value, long story short I set it on fire trying to get it out of the 89 chevy, the cab was upside down and I couldn't get to two bolts so I broke out my plasma cutter and cut the first bolt off and it fell inside and caught the seat on fire and I got my pressure washer and put out the fire that was fun, couldn't put it out outside of the cab I had to open one of the doors, took about a minute or so to put it out. , smoke was rolling everywhere, the stoners down the road thought I was hot boxing the cab lol 😂

I see where you are going with the floor. Seems like a reasonable idea if you need the extra pedal travel. Those old cabs are pretty small inside.

Seems like a heck of a lot of extra work and dollars to cut that seat down and get it upholstered when you can find one that fits and is in good shape for $50-100 on CL but I guess if you feel like trying it, good luck and let us know how it goes.

Well I didn't pay anything for the seat, and my wife and I are going to try upholsting it ourselves, should be fun.

Small victory /update on the drivers side floor pan, built a ridged 1/8 flat bar frame welded the pan to it, then cut it out and shortened it 3inches to level it out, should be finished with that tomorrow, got to go to work :( now.
