LOL, thanks Eman, most times others find absolutely no logic in my actions. I have no intention of painting anything other than the frame, and a few other underpinnings. My plan is to never look at the frame again, so I guess that's why I did it the way I did!

Frame, suspension arms and rear end is painted and assembly is just getting underway. Now's the time I figure out all the little bits and pieces that I'm missing! LOL. When the sweat runs into your eyes it's just too hot for this nonsense...landed the LS and had to do a couple little things on my uncle's A. At least he has AC in the A!

Your uncle must be a big Seinfeld fan!

The A looks great, good to see progress on the truck.

Pretty much got the disc's set up on the rear end....thankfully a buddy stopped and we yakked away most of the morning. WAY too hot to be working. 34.4C on my thermometer, the weather network says 43C supposedly with the humidex. Crazy hot.

Awkward for both of us! LOL, I had a shower and feel a little better.

NOW you can compliment my rear end and shouldn't feel so weird!

Thanks guys. I haven't been around here much lately, we lost my mother in law two weeks ago, so we've been busy with that. Poor old girl, was good right up until a couple of months ago, and she was 93 so she lived a long and full life.
I've been back at the truck a little over the last couple of days. I made up a bit of a jig (punch and die?) to straighten out the damage along the outer edges of the running boards. They are really solid but have seen more than they're share of abuse over the last 70 odd years! We alternated between pressing the edge into the die with the punch, and bending the edge between two wooden blocks. They aren't perfect, but a lot better! I should have taken a good picture of how bad they were when I started, but I didn't...

Boards look great, Bill.[cl :D
Sorry to hear about your Mom -in-law. My condolences to you and your wife. I hope to see 93.:)
We are still dealing with Mom -in-law issues as well. At 92 she thinks that she should still be driving.
Her Dr. has ordered a driving evaluation, so till that happens we have a reprieve.:D

Torchie; My mom is going to be 79 next week. She has Alzheimer's and can't drive any more. A year or so ago I disconnected the starter wire on her Rav4. A few weeks later she accused me of "unfixing her car" and was quite P.O.ed with me. She forgot about it soon after.

Forced myself to do a little of the "not so sexy" work of patching the lower kick panels, and filling in some of the holes in the floor where the pedals, starter, steering etc went through. Not sure it was such a good idea today - 29C with a humidex of 38C. Nothing like grinding in a nice tight spot when you're soaked in sweat. Making a stop at "Bill's Truck" up in Oshawa tomorrow to pick up some more goodies.
