OUCH! Was the 41 there for you to perform restorative magic on it?

I like the panel. i like most panels.

Not to hijack the thread.....
The 41 was the start to my last project. My custom truck. I used the frame, running gear and the title.
The panel was my everyday for 5 years. It was a beast. 4 wheel drive. Dual heaters. Shoulder harness passenger restraint system. The basis of the build was a 99 full size GMC Sierra pick up. Used all the stock GMC wiring. You could even take it to the dealer and have it hooked up to their computers to have problems checked.
I miss the old Girl.
Torchie
Back to you..Bill.

"1/2" lower..." - great idea Doc, I'll make sure that I don't overshoot the 5/8" I'm looking for, that's for sure.
Torchie - you never should feel the need to apologize for any input. I appreciate all the help and inspiration from everyone! I should have some updates later today. I did start to run brake lines from the rear end yesterday, and hopefully my rack is being delivered today... I'm putting a bit of a push on to at least get the inside of the cab and the underhood sheet metal painted before it gets too cool and damp. The weather forecast for next week look promising...

Rear brake lines are run, up to the front of the truck anyway. I also repaired that lower rad support mount (thanks again Joedoh and Dr Crank!)

To answer your question Dr, yes, the shop is insulated and heated, but once I turn the ventilation fan on that I use when I'm painting I can quickly draw the warm air out of the building.

That seat just wasn't working for us, so this is much better! I found this one at the pic n save this morning so I traded the other ones in. Kind of a dark charcoal colour. Still the same style and mounts (thank god!), so I can proceed with prepping the interior for paint. I've order the paint, should be here for the weekend.

my friend found me a DIY closed cell spray foam kit, maybe my shop will be insulated for work next year, but I Hadnt considered exhaust fans! [S thanks for the provoking thought!

nice seat, looks comfy!

Well, the rack finally showed up, so that's installed. I found a few days to work on the inside of the cab and underhood pieces. Prepped and painted everything in DOM16, and then painted the inside of the cab the same green as the outside is (or was! Lol) A friend loaned me is HVLP gun to use, but I chickened out at the last minute and reverted to my conventional gun...the damn paint is just too expensive anymore and I couldn't risk experimenting at this stage in the game. I'll ship the cab off to have the glass installed anytime now.
