windshield template

I need front and rear glass. When I make the template for the supplier do I make an exact replica of the openings or slightly smaller? If smaller, how much.

Exact size and tell them so, they will make the adjustments for you.

Are you doing the install or are they?
Do you have the new rubber seals and have you cut them yet?
I have found that I have the best luck when I have the cut seals and then make a template out of 1/4 luan. I fit all that into the window opening and tweak the template as needed.
I also recommend using O rings glue to re connect the cut rubber seals.

Make the template exactly what you need after they sand the cut edges and all. If you have a spare piece of windshield rubber that will help you know what space you need around the outside.
