Picked this up a few weeks ago. Body isn't bad for a 60+ year old car.
Interior is all but gone. Engine turns over.
Hell of a cool looking car. Haven't yet figured out what I'm going to do with it.

You didn’t happen to pick that up in Tuscaloosa AL did you? There has been one for sale there for a while.

Oh, by the way, it’s not a Lincoln. Continental was a separate company in 1955 and 56, it got absorbed into Lincoln. Just like Edsel, it was it’s own brand, owned by Ford.

Lets see the engine!!! I’ve got a weird obsession with y-blocks and the lincoln y’s especially but good luck getting parts. Very cool car though, congrats.

Here is a pic of George Barris and his custom 56 Continental.
He really didn't do much to it. Pearl Paint job and added a vinyl top with Landau bars.and a set of dummy spots.
Lowered it an inch and added some custom wheel covers. Last I heard it was back in the Barris family.
Doesn't take much on one of these.

Hummn, hasn't been back since Sunday. I sure hope he didn't pay what they were wanting for that car, around $20,000 IIRC. I saw the bodywork and paint being done....not the best job. Real dirty, dusty environment.
