1957 Gerstenslager High School Shop Build

This is how I found this 57 step van its a former postal service van

t it wasn't upside down

here we are tearing it down

stripped the chassis down and started installing the IFS and figuring out engine and trans locations

 

[AWM]

going with a lincoln IRS to keep from cutting the floor

 

[AWM]

We are using a crown vic front and lincoln rear
the IRS should keep up from cutting the floor
I still want to use this as a van and not have to step over a hump in the cargo area

We plan on doing some clean and touch up on the paint but leave most of it alone
We have a little structure to fix.
Here is a place we cleaned and buffed on the old paint

Too many paint fumes, and way too many names and passwords to remember I guess
