the truck has exact same paint and weathered..look.
cept it's a long bed.
i got the 47 international from alvin.. now this.
...
i need more money . i think I'll have to someday fix this one up too.

I like that style of truck and Dodge didn't make a dud motor, ever, so you have a good find IMHO. Unless you want to run two air compressors simultaneously, you should trade him before he sobers up.

Totally agree with MercuryMac, id put the compressor in the back of my truck and head right over. I love old dodge trucks so i'd jump right on that offer.

make sure it's mechanically sound & drive the heck outta the truck and keep working in the other one.

Later
...

any love for the old three on the tree around here ?
i think I'm going to stay with that .
i agree .. I'll get this one going first .drive it . and take my time getting the 47 going.
thinking I'll have something to drive way faster.

I use to have three on the tree in my 52 Dodge with the flat 6. It was fun to drive once i figured out how to shift the damn thing :D That 52 is now the truck that im currently working on so the 3 speed is out the window. I'd keep the three on the tree for now and get the truck up and running and mechanically sound. Then drive it for awhile, if you dont like it you can always swap it out later. Just my 2 cents.

I had a 64 step side long bed. Good old truck. I discovered that when pulling a load, I'd loosen the valves up and when trying for highway speeds, tighten them up a bit. Those ole mechanical lifters wouldn't give me much of either if adjusted by the book. That truck is still running on a friends property. I sold it to him in '83 after getting rear ended and bending the frame. 318/4 speed.
