30 Ford sedan tie rods

Is it a no-no to run the drag link between the frame and the radious rods on a straight drop axle. If I dont it will put my vega box below the frame even if I bend the pitman arm. It seem to have about 4" of clearence between the frame and the radious rods.

With 4 inches you should be fine. Obviously, you want enough clearance so the tie rod doesn't get pinched in between the wishbone and frame on a hard bump.
