34 Pickup Build

Well im back.. I have been out for a few for surgery's but have gotten some work done on the rod. [ well alot i would say being i drove it out of the garage today!! and let me tell you having it move under its own power was GREAT!!! I have set it up with a hand throttle and it works great, It has a gas peddle and the hand set up. looks really cool. I took the interior out of a 1982 peterbilt and played around with it. [S Got the new rad in and scored a sweet set of head lights so i think i'll take the one's off that are on there now. the rear got new tubes and i made it a little longer. I changed the gun drilled axles for solid. I built the drive shaft and put it in for now but will have to have it blanced before taking it down the road. Let me know what ya think. if all is well i should be back in the game for 6 months or so till the next surgery

Glad to see you have healed enough to get back at it. Yep, driving it for the first time is a great feeling and a motivator to keep at it. Looks like the kids love it.

I have been working on the truck but not posting much so i'll put a few pics up. Its on the road now but i have not taking it out yet. I think i need to get away from it for a week or so and get some new idea's! Im open to anything if you guys have any ideas [S

Just my opinion but I'd lose the breather too modern. Maybe find something that replicates the look of the taillights and make a breather. Just a thought, truck looks great.

The breather is just on there for now well i work on the truck. lol Im working on rolling up one for it now. Thanks for the input

Working on getting the lights and stuff wired up. I need to get a few bugs worked out!!! lol We have a big yard with a pond in the end and lets just say at about 40mph we found a few bug's and almost ended up in the pond! But i gusee its better than on the road. I would like to think by next weekend it will be out finding the local cops!! Is any one going to the syracuse notionals? I would like to take it there and maybe meet up with some people to drive there

Well i took it out for the first time and man what a ride!!!! That thing is wild to drive and with the 671 gears from the quick change it smashes your head to the back wall! maybe a little to much for the road!!! lol Everyone love it but the one old lady that told me "That thing looks like it came from hell" lol

The buckets are 1938 Dodge brothers with impala lense's. Im really tryin to get this done for syracuse but im still in a cast and can only move so fast!! lol
