Had to roll the chassis outside for room to work on the cab so, we took pics :D
You can see the 2"x 3" gussets I welded in right in front of the back tires, upper corner of the frame.
I'll take better pics of the lower control bars. They go directly into the lower part of the frame and have three holes to run them level up to 10 deg up in the front.

We also cut the floor out today to start the un-channeling.
I left the tranny hump as this part came out OK.

This is weird lookin but, it's a shop through the back window of the floor.

We set the cab and bed back on to get an idea of where the level of the floor is going to be installed

I personally think the bed is too long in the rear but, I don't think the owner wants to spring for the shortening cost.

And simply another shot from the front

Wow !!!

MAN, that looks WAY better than what you started with. What vision!

I kinda like the box the way it is and the shot from the front is just KILLER !!!

It's probably too late to just extend the frame a little to get the rear wheels centered with the bed, isn't it?

Bed doesn't look that bad to me, but then compared to the way it looked when you started[cl [cl [cl
Maybe the guy will change his mind once he sees it and let you shorten it up.
Torchie.

I delivered the pickup to it's owner Friday evening at 6:30
He was very excited.
Already has it lined up to go to the body shop for a fresh paint job.
I'll get the finished pics of the beast and post them as they become available.
Thanks for watching the transformation :)

Thanks for the comment.
I really enjoyed being able to show the owner the different looks a ride can have from one configuration to the other on one vehicle

OI, you know that picture of the truck that you took on late Friday afternoon, just as you rolled it out of the shop to take it home to the owner, well, some of us would like to see that pic. You made a hot rod out of a weird dream and we'd like to see it, all of it. [dr[dr

I'm afraid I will have to disappoint ya, it was dark by that time and I have no exterior lighting at my shop.
I will get a pick from the owner before the body work commences.
