Yes sir... yet another one rolling through Three Wheels and a Block...
This 68 GTO is in for some audio upgrades, a few other quirky electrical issues, and a little bit of fine tuning to the engine.

Audio Anyone?

Installed new kick panel speakers, a new dash speaker setup and new headunit, had to make some adjustments to the headunit to get everything to fit like it should, but the end result is pretty good.

Great car, everybody should have one of those, mater of fact I've got one just like it here had it since 1982. The kick panels have given me fits trying to get the drivers side out, what's the secret?

This one is not mine, maybe one day another customer car we are working on.

Wow, that's pretty sweet that you have had your GTO that long, too cool.... As far as getting that driver side kick panel out, remove the rocker panel step plate, remove the A-piller trim and then wiggle the rocker, once it starts to move grab it in the center under the dash and bow it out slightly. Then with a careful amount of force it should twist out and upward and towards the center of the car and come right out. That little bump under the dash is where they usually get stuck, so if you get past that point you are ususally good to go, Good luck!

More pics of the GTO

Some more photos... the kick panel speakers blend right in and are almost unnoticable to the untrained eye, the headunit was a little on the cumbersome side to make it look right, but the final product is great!

Oil pressure gauge is working as it should now that the correct parts are installed.

A couple more things and she is ready to go back to her owner.[cl

So long for now...

Found out the goat had a dash melt down that was never properly fixed, so many hours later after removing the burned wires, and melted multitude we got is all back together and back to the owner, so he can enjoy the fall with it.

So a small recap:

New Head-unit, new dash speakers, new kickpanel speakers, a stealth antenna installed, rewired cigar lighter, fix exterior lights, fix interior lights, make choke adjustments on carb.
