I'd give it about 250-275, a 2 man removal for sure. You could always add to the back deck and short'n the roof some.
Ya, that's what I was thinkin.
Most of the time I'm a one man show here so weight is a factor.
Rainman, I was thinkin a Carson too. Then I ran across this;
I may just build it myself.
Game plans change sometimes

I measured the 4door I have and the coupe body, at the rear quarter windows, is 2" farther apart so the steel top will have to be stretched in the back.
I still have plenty of time to make up my old mind.

Uh... yeah, that black car is not what I'd be shooting for.... Very good thing you still had the hood sides, the sloped hood threw off the body lines in a real bad way. I was just joking about the chop - even if you chopped it 8", someone woulda said 9".

Looks good.

A Little more progress

I want the door windows to roll up and down so I built the top of the door like this :)
I'll make stainless channel to go around the door glass like a regular convert and polish it.

I think I'll do around the back next and have that all done [;)

Very nice work on the door tops. To me it's the little details that make a big difference between a complete hack job and a real custom. Keep it up!

On to the next one

Well it's the end of the build on this one for me :(
Bfmchotrod came down and had to have it so, I traded it to him for one of his :)

A really good 48 GMC 5 window pickup (with a title), a good rust free 50 Chevy pickup (less the bed), 59 Chevy pickup rearend and a 66 Pontiac 389 engine.
The GMC is in about the same build state as the 40.
I'll post the 48 in a new thread soon.
