Thanks.
It may be overkill but it is 16 ga. and it was in the rack and already paid for.
and I'm making it removable.
I've got some 18 ga. that I'll use one the firewall part of it.
Using what I have is the name of the game here.

I hear you on all of that POPS. Went with 16 gauge for mine as well.
Makes for a sturdy floor though.
Torchie.

Nice job on the column shortening looks like we had the same task over the weekend.. LOL I had to make mine a little longer, because one was too short and the other too long.... Go figure :p

Seems like that's the story of my life. It doesn't fit and too broke to just get another one. So I have to make it work. It's all in fun tho.

Found a reason to put off working on the floor this morning.
I got the gauge panel made and had to move one of the braces for the brake hanger bracket. That took all of one hour. I love having a plasma table.

I did get the center removable section made for the center hump. Hoping to
get the floor done this week. That's the plan at least.

Still more flooring. I did the easy side first that didn't have a steering column and brake pedal in the way I might just get this roughed in tomorrow if I can get back out to the shop. Then I can pull the cab again and finish welding it all up.

More Dr. appointment for this dang skin cancer in the AM. It just seems like a never ending thing and I'm really getting tired of it.

No more whining!!

Here's a couple of pics of the floor/firewall thing I've got going on. I think
I've got it going my way and everything seems to be where it will work.

I've got a few wires to sort thru on the column. I only need 8 or 10 out of that mess to start with. Eventually I want to have the cruise control functioning. Just need to get it on the road first .

Thanks Soltz and Torchie.
I really get tired of this nonsense. Went to the Dr. today and have to have more surgery next month. Just have to grin and bear it I guess.

Progress

Still just doing things that don't cost any thing.
I got the floor mostly done, just need to finish around the steering
column. I had to move the brake pedal around a little and made it a faster with the holes. Patched the gas filler neck hole. Got it close enough for a skim
coat when the time comes.

I'm going to pull the cab back off tomorrow and finish welding the cowl and
plug a bunch of holes. I can't figure out what half of those holes were for.

Here's a few pics for any one interested.

Looking good Pops! That's what I have to do a lot of the time, plug away at stuff that needs to be done that doesn't cost anything to do but time.

Thanks guys. I wish I had some kind of idea what I'm doing when it comes to the body work. I have never done it before and I would like to get this thing pretty straight before the paint.

I got the cab pulled to finish welding cowl and floors. There is only about 40 different holes to fill.

Pulled the engine/transmission and got it stripped to soda blast and paint.
Another couple of days on the frame and I can blast it and paint.

This thing is looking like it did not too long ago. All in pieces. I'm so slow sometimes I think
I was just dreaming that I worked in the shop.
