I was told by an old timer many years ago the reason the door on the passenger side had the lock, was because it was customary for the Gentleman to unlock and open the door for his Lady, she would then unlock his door from the inside. Sounded good at the time[S

I was told before that that had to do with streets being dirt and mud so you'd get out on the side walk thru the passenger side, but who knows

I Got the carpet done as good as it's gonna get with my lack of installation skills. I also dyed my seats, another new thing for me. They turned out alright for $15. The one on the left is before and the other is after.

Finished the peel and seal in the roof. Need to do the headliner next.

looking good my friend. [cl

Thanks Brother.

I got the glass in one door with all new rubber, sweeps, bumpers
and a lot of suffering trying to work in those little access holes.
My bear cub paws aren't made for that.

I'll get the other one tomorrow if all goes well. Then its heater time.

Looks really good Pops, did you go with the slight green tint in the glass?

Yeah it is the green tint. I like the way it turned out.

Windows make a big difference without any of the other stuff.

Especially in the winter!!!!

That truck is awesome, Pops! Heat will definitely be the cherry on top. :D

Thanks Animal. I find myself driving it all the time, even when I should be doing something else. With windows and heat I'll never get anything done.

Truck looks great. [cl
Window[S maybe i'll try that some day:eek:

I highly recommend windows. If for no other reason, less wind noise so you can hear the radio going down the freeway at 80 mph.

I absolutely love your truck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Old Iron. I like driving the '48 rat but I haven't driven it more than 3 or 4 times since I got this thing on the road. I may have to sell it to finance the next project if I ever find it.

My bride will even go with me in this truck.
