do you think if i welded the bottom of the door to the cab would one door hinge hold appox.16 inches of door thats left? there will be no guts in the door and were removeing the top , just a door handle on the inside will all that will be left on the door[

I think it would be too wobbly to work very well with only the top hinge holding it. Maybe if you had really nice and tight hinge bushings you could get away with it but I wouldn't bet on it.

You could probably graft the lower hinge higher to fit on your upper door half.[S
