So the GMC is back for some maintenance and to have the window regulators replaced. The owner has put some good miles on the truck this summer. I caught it right as it rolled over 1500! But he took the truck before I could put any miles on it and once over it before it left. So know I'm doing exhaust gaskets cause he literally drove it till the exhaust fell off!!!

It does look good though

Lookin' good! Oh, those crummy cheap gaskets are a pain in the drain.. I still make my own from a Mr Gasket blank sheet so I can match it right to the head/ exhaust flange, coat it with hi temp Permatex and re-torque constantly for the first few drives, repeat every couple months. I find that the dead soft aluminum collector gaskets are best, re- torque them also.

I use these remflex gaskets. I put them on my 50 5 years ago and no leaks. Yes a re torque is a must. That's why I like putting 500 miles on a build before releasing it to the owner. But he had to have it. Oh well. It needed other attention also
