Why didn't anybody tell me you can't paint racing stripes with a hacksaw!?

Sam, you are an animal in the garage! All bundled up to keep warm. After this chop and the section then i'm thinking you will decide it needs to be shortened to a 2 door. :D

Huh. 2door - that's a different idea. Here I was thinkin a 6door. :D Not much to say, spent a couple hrs - cut down the front posts and figured out how to make sure they were lined up right. Today I Measure, Tomorrow I Weld!

Well, took a couple day for tomorrow to get here, but got to the garage last night.
Lined up the front posts and leveled the back to get the correct angle.
Made a few cuts to pull the lower posts in and the upper posts out.

Matched it up and tacked.

I had to add a few more slices to get the roof beak back up to were it needed to be
- the posts and center upright need to be in the same plane.
And a few more slices to get the posts into better matching shape.

I'll need to make another cut or two to get the bulge back at the top.

And this is a shot from the back.
The rear section of roof will be moved backward still, so the offset looks more dramatic now than
it will be in the end.

At first glance, it looks like you are going to have one heck of a time getting all of those shapes to match up again. Be sure and take lots of pics!
