Then it all has to go back together.

I must have took 100 pics trying to show the detail of this paint. Only a few came out where you could see what you see in person. I wanted something that looked like the factory may have done but a little nicer. The color doesn't show up well on the screen. This color is a mix between bronze and dark gun metal grey. The cool part it's a textured finish made to look something like hammered copper.
I am pleased with the color. Nothing crazy. It looks old and subtle but not generic.

I wasn't about to stick those nasty messed up screws back in this thing. Trying to look somewhat stock but with a little flare I thought why not brass?

Nice engine.
I would like to find a 305 for my project.
People around here want $500.00 and up for an engine that has been rained in.:confused:It is insane!
I am still searching for a sbc I can afford.
It's getting like that every where. SBC use to be a dime a dozen. Now the price is going up and with the economy no one has any cash. Price of everything we use goes up 3 or 4 times what they use to be but 85% of us are still making the same an hour as we were years ago $$$[S
Somethings got to give...:(

54 is by it self as for the dash and stuff. The 47 to 53 stuff are different. I needed a few pieces and found this in a junkyard up in Ohio. It was worth the drive.
Not much left in that old yard but I did find a few things. :D

Man I love walking old junk yards but there are none close to me. There was an older junk yard in Boaz Alabama that I need to return to.

Work is a little slow but thought I'd try to get the back glass in.
Seal is in the window.

Rope was used to pull the seal out. I have done this a few times. It didn't work to good with this seal.

I had it close but the seal was moving all ovet the place. Sami came out to help.
