My buddy Norman and I have been building his 55 Nomad Gasser for a couple years now among many other projects. I will post some pictures now and try to update them as we go. We started with a basket case Nomad. We build a frame stub and used a Speedway front axle kit that we widened. The engine has been raised up and moved back into the firewall. Norman built a new firewall to make room for the engine. We do this as a hobby and work in a carport in his front yard.

Here are some pictures of the yellow 55. It took us about 18 months to complete. We did the bodywork, paint including the flames. It has the original straight six and three on the tree.

This is how far we tore it down.

Man that 55 looks great. As do your other projects. I wish it was warm enough here to work under a car port, But then it would collapse under the weight of all the snow!

Here is Norman's other 55. He's had it for over 25 years. He put a camaro subframe under it many years ago. It has a 454 with a Muncie 4sp and a Ford 9".

Here is my 56. I've had it for 28 years. I put it on an 82 Chevy Impala chassis. It worked out really well. It turns on a dime and has great brakes.

Here's my latest project. I just picked it up a couple months ago. I've been collecting parts for several months. I believe it's a 39 Chevy but can't tell for sure. I've got a Cadillac 500 engine and turbo 400 transmission. I bought the steel to build the frame a Ford 9" rear end, the front axel, spring, spindles and a 35 Chevy pickup grill shell.

Then there's my wifes car. It's a 54 Nash Metropolitan convertible. I pulled the original Austin Healy engine and front suspension. I have installed a Fatman Mustang II front suspension. Were puting a 3.8 litter V6 from a Chevy Astro van in it. I have a ford 8" rear end that were going to narrow up to fit it. There just never enough time.

Man, you got some sweet projects goin on there. Nice! That gray 55 is only a hood scoop, wheel well trim away from bein a 2-lane blacktop clone.

The Olds is Norman's wife's car. It was in really nice shape until about eight years ago when a teenager ran a stop sign and took off the front of the car. We were on a trip and it took us a full day to straighten the frame enough to get the front fenders back in place and a new radiator in it. We had to bend the front frame rails around six inches. I believe that it's a 1966 Olds Cutlass.

I'd like to say that this is all of our projects but it's not. We've been building my dad's 57 Chevy for the past couple of years. Here's the before and after photos.

It had a straight six in it. We rebuilt a 265 I had been saving and put it in along with a three speed overdrive transmission.

I also have a 65 Chevelle that I've had for about ten years. I just got finished painting it for the second time.

We are also into teardrop trailers. We have built seven from ground up in the past eight years. We tow them all over the place. Our's have a queen size bed in them along with air conditioning.

Here's the latest project we just added to our list. Norman was given this 55 Chevy 2dr wagon which had been sitting in a backyard for about 25 years. He couldn't pass it up. We drove down to South San Francisco and picked it up last week. He's considering making a crew cab El Camino out of it. He photo shopped some ideas for it and I will post them when he sends them to me.

I just got these pictures of my buddy Kevin's 55. The three of us built the frame last fall in a three day period. He hauled it back to his home in Colorado where he took his old frame out from under his 55 and put it on the new frame.
