glad ya figured it out!

what is the reason for not using a paper filter between the tank and the pump? afraid it will get paper pieces stuck in the pump?

my inline pump on my yorker has a built on metal filter, i do assume its a paper filter but not for sure, it came with it and the warranty is void if not used so it must be ok either way

From what I have read the paper element is too restrictive and could burn up the pump!

makes sense. I have read that alot of pumps like to push fuel more than suck it. so its safer to mount near the tank than in the engine bay. worth researching anyways
