OK, if there is interest I will keep posting. I got the motor out and went back to work on the floors. This car was used as a drag car at some point and they had cut out the tunnel for some reason and cut out part of the inner fender aprons for fender well headers. I found part of an orig tunnel and now trying to make it work.[;)

Nice, makes me wish I'd kept my 67 with a 66 front clip. Are you going back stock with the rear wheel wells, or staying with the opened up ones?

Going back stock. He has a correct #s small block for it also. It still has the orig #s matching 12 bolt posi rear end in it. The guy that owens it has a few other cars also. He flips about 6 or 7 a year. Just sold a 67 Chevelle BB 4spd last week along with another 67 Nova SS. My next project for him is a 65 Malibu Vert triple black BB 4spd that is real real nice but needs paint/rubber/top and a bit of upolstry.

Very nice! I was lucky enough to have a NEW '66 Chevy ll Super Sport with the L 79 package and got to race it against such racers as Grumpy Jenkins and Don Hardy. It was a great little car. By the way, they didn't label them as Nova's until '67, so when you start putting the trim back on don't put Nova emblems on it...us purists notice those small things. :)

Got the tunnel in today, man what a job. Like trying to put a puzzle togeather with the wrong parts. It ain't pretty but it is solid and strong.

Whoever had this before cut the rear of the front inner fender aprons out I asume for fender well headers. I am trying to put this back to stock so I had to clean up the hack job they did and make new panels. They are in and rock solid.[;)

Looking good! I remember that we used a small sledge hammer around the rear fender wells in order to get even the shortest slicks under them without rubbing. We left the chrome molding on and just pounded it flat up against the metal...didn't look too bad.

The rear quarters will need to be done because somebody cut them up also.
But today I did the panel between the deck lid and the rear window, it was all rotted out along with the sail panelC-piller.

A bit more work than was planned but aren't they all?

Found some rotten chit in the core support so I cut it out and rebuilt it.
Also finished stripping it
