Here is my toy. I found it on the back lot at the Chevy dealer in Klamath Falls, Oregon about 25 years ago. It had 67K miles on it at the time. 351 Cleveland, C6, 9-inch and GT package. It wasn't even considered an model after 1970. The GT package included heavy duty high performance everything, with a handling package. Built to run high speed all day. They made 721 of them. Grabber Lime. Rally wheels. Scoop. Nothing fancy. Just fun.

Drivers manual says, "Use 101 octane fuel only."

I will pull it out of storage after I retire and get to prettying it up.

The blue and white job next to it is a real deal R code car.[dr

Cool Cougar! Ah, memories both good and bad...1st wife had a 71 though not the GT model. Same basics you mentioned and ran like a scalded dog! It was strictly hers...it was also the one she got caught cheating in...hoho!
