I had that set-up on my Cutlass. just a little warning it will stumble off the line unless you have a real loose torque convertor. All the tri carb cars from gm were all clutch cars and they needed the slip to getting the R's up quickly. but once they going they scream. Good luck with her. They look awesome.

It's alright I guess if you like that sort of thing :D. Are you kidding me? It's beautiful Don. Also, I'm really happy for him after all the hard work.

Thanks everyone. BIll, are you going to make it to Billetproof in April? I know you are not going to Garlits because of your Parents anniversary, but thought you might be going to BP. We are shooting for that with Dan's car. We will trailer it up and he can at least drive it into the fairgrounds. He's finally accepting that he might actually have a shot at getting it done that far in time.

Dan sets the bar awfully high. Great enjoyment in seeing/hearing a video instead of just pics. Were you the videographer, Don?

Not sure Don, they moved the show yet further north last year and this year and I don't care for that area very much. Not their fault but that's the way the chips fell. Kind of a shame. I know quite a few S Fla folks that aren't going now because of that. I thinks it's part of the reason attendance was down last year.

Thanks CD, Bob, and Mike. No Mike, Dan took that video. He had to redo it because on the first one I was running around and got in the picture, and I had this stupid wool hat pulled down over my ears and kleenex in them to keep out the loud exhaust sounds. I thought I looked dashing. :p

Bill, see, that is something I have wondered about too. I heard such bad feedback after the show moved from Garlits place last year that I wasn't planning on going. But then on another forum people said except for the rain the one day it was actually ok. Moving it really put it out of driving range for us in our hot rods, and we will have to trailer it. I would have made that drive in the 23, but the 27 is a whole different car and not so pleasant on the highway. Dans car being untested and not quite 100% done will dictate it be trailered too.

I'm not sure what all precipitated Alan and Don G parting ways show wise, but I really liked it at Dons place. I am just not a fan of shows held at fairgrounds.........too impersonal IMO. But I do want Dans car to make it just to get it out once and for all. It gives us a goal to shoot for.

Wow! Don, I've been watching this build over the years picking up bits and pieces from different sites and got to say that is one awesome ride! [cl[cl[cl

Don, I think they moved the show from DG's place because it was outgrowing the area.

I don't mean any negativity toward them, it's just the way it is, but I was really excited about the show when it came to Florida because there is nothing else like it for the rodders here. Now, it's so far north that's it's barely a Florida show. It's closer to three other states than it is to the south Florida crowd. As read on another forum, the fellas in the other states are happy about it though. Like I said before, I know a bunch of guys in my area that are not attending this year because of the location change. I sure would like to see Dan's car though. I hate to miss the debut. I venture to say it will be a big hit. Will he get mad if I razz him about the trailer :D
