It's starting to snow here again. They're calling for 18 to 30" plus for my part of the state. That's enough to shut us down for a few days! Is it ever gonna be spring again?[S....CR:mad:

i heard ya'll were about to get slammed with it......

i wish it was spring too, i'm ready to get my 46 back on the road.....

hope you don't get a bad case of cabin fever!!:D:D

We're getting it! They said it would start about 4:00pm and it did! They called this one right for a change. I've had cabin fever since the temp went below 60!!..:D...CR

Here in central Virginia we get crazy weather. Snowed last week while the temperatures were down in the teens so the snow was lite and didn't pull down trees or wires. Didn't have to fire up the generator and the snow was easy to shovel.
Yesterday it started snowing on top of the existing snow but it is warmer and the snow is heavy. During the night it changed to rain, heavy at times, so now the snow is sloppy wet and hard to shovel :( But so far we still have power[cl. Problem is I spend too much time on the computer surfing craigslist and ebay spending money for stuff I really don't need [S.
I'm even looking at motorcycles?? Wife thinks I'm crazy....says I'm too old to riding any silly motorcycle. What do you guys think? Is 67 too old for motorcycles? ;)

Age has nothing to do with it....but other drivers that won't, and don't, watch where they are going sure do. Had one pull a left in front of me, showed him...I hit him. Bikes I like, driving for me and the other guy takes the fun out of it though. Limpin through life for 33 years now, but still going. The quad called a Brimstone looks cool, big enough that it's hard to ignore, and not be seen.

Age has nothing to do with ones ability to ride a MC. However age does have something to do with recovering from a fall. I rode some in my younger days , even rode accross the country onetime. I now get my kicks driving an open wheel fenderless ratrod and it is way safer than a bike and just as much fun .

OK...so far you two, Sniper and IAM-LDS-2, are saying age makes no difference except it takes longer to heal if you I fall or crash. So I must be very carefull, I can handle that. I drag race my truck during the summer and we go 114 mph so a crash would really hurt but the wife has no problem with my racing! I won't race the motorcycle, just thought it'd be fun to build a Bobber rat bike and put around town for fun. I live in very rural Virginia so traffic is lite. So far I'm thinking it's goin to be ok to have a motorcycle [cl
Anybody else have a comment about my idea? [P

Ya, it looks like you are getting about the same as we got last year. Last year 103" total. This year maybe 6" total. I'm about ready to take the snow tires off, that will guarantee more snow.

I'm just a bit younger than you, been riding since I was 12 and don't plan to stop anytime soon. Tell your wife it will help keep you young.:D

If ya talkin Hard tail/Springer--primitive bike-- I'd sure not recommend it. I rode for years, and went down twice of note. Both largely due to poor equipment--AMF Sporty and a Hardtail springer . No serious injury then, but it'd prolly kill me today.

If I ever ride again--its gonna be top of the line equipment. Theres just no room for error on a bike.. I don't bounce anymore..

Apologise for hijackin your thread CR55....but thanks guys for the input on bike deal....it just quit snowin here but it'll be below freezing for the next couple days so guess I gotta watch my step and not slip and fall, mite hurt my chances of ridin this spring.:D

Snowed for a day and a half! I haven't heard what the total accumulation is, but it's got to be 2 feet or better! I can hardly see my pickup down the driveway...don't feel bad for hijacking Fuzz. You're never too old to ride a bike, you just have to remember a line that an older guy told me when I started riding 35 years ago. " you have to ride like everyone's out to get ya!" sometimes I think they are!!!....CR

Well put PA41, not only do you have to not make any errors , there are the BLIND 4 wheeler drivers who will most likely be the ones to make the error that puts you down. Like you I have been down twice , I sold the bike after the second one . I was young then and I still didn't bounce . If you think a fall from a bike wont hurt you ,jump out of your car just going 20 MPH and see what happens .It is not like crashing in a car You and You alone are what's between you and the very very hard pavement .

AGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH! Now they're calling for another Nor'easter to arrive on Tuesday and dump some more snow on us.....I'm considering moving!!:D......CR

more evidence of global warming

well, CR, you'll probably be getting some more of it--woke up at 5 this morning to find more of the white evidence of global warming :)D:D)

weather forecaster predicts some more thru out the next couple of days.........not too bad yet, but i will go nuts if i don't get to piddle in my shop in a few more days.....there is only so much quality time a guy can spend with the family before the whole family goes nuts;)
