anybody know ford rear ends ?

theres a good deal on a ford rear end in the local paper , says its out of a `72 f250 , is that just a regular 9" rearend or is it something bigger and more heavy duty?

That is a 3/4 ton which has 8 lugs I think

Yep should be an 8 lug. A good rear end, heavy, 30 spline full float axles

If the price is right, I wouldn't discount the rear end. Several Willys and 40' Ford gassers use to run them.
