Put some time on it today! Built spacers for the new qa1 coil overs on the lathe. The old cheap coilovers were 5/8 and the new ones are half inch. So naturally all the holes in the frame and the axle brackets are 5/8. I got some 3/4-in solid rod and drilled it out for the half inch bolt of the new coilover and then turn them down to a 3-in long by 5/8 outside diameter. Truck sits much better now. Also measured out where the wheel tubs are going to go so we can put a bigger tire on the back of it. Then I started cleaning up some stuff around the shop and decided to set the front clip and the hood on it. Looks mucho better!

I have a cheapo seeing I don't do it too often. I also try to get ones already flared close the the same length. But it is so gratifying when they are nicely bent. Jim

Yeah, if it's not something you do a lot of no sense spending that much money on a flaring tool. I get it for sure!

Back on the 53!!! This is one of my favorite parts of a build, the exhaust!!! Shorty stainless headers to 2.5 stainless tubing. Then into 2.5 round magnaflow mufflers! It should sound good!!

Had some good help in the shop yesterday.Exhaust done, front clip and inner fenders done, rear wheel dubs cut and fitted. Just need welded up. Also plugged the hole for the original shifter
