I knew Pawn stars was fake when Ron from American Restoration sold them a coke machine and they took it to Rick to rebuild it. As for auction hunters, They do give you a disclaimer on occasion that A:if the auctioneer sees a car, gun, or drugs, they have to seize it. And B: that they lose money on 80% of their purchases. Still fun shows.

I still like Pawn Stars and American Pickers. The good thing is they are on the History channel so you can at least learn something. And aliens are real.

What is odd is that out of the 50 people who show up at these auctions, only the stars of the show ever bid. So what are the rest of the people, just props ?

The other show that bugs me is the Baggage Wars, or whatever it is called, where they buy lost luggage. That husband wife team is really odd and annoying to me.

I know it's just TV, but it sure would be nice to thing something they put on has a thread of truth and reality to it.
